Is leadership easy? No of course it isn't. Then why do we insist on acting like it is. We either spend no time at all thinking about it or improving ourselves. Or we take one communication workshop and think:
"Great. Now I know communication!"
Would we do this with Karate? You can't take one karate class and know karate. You can't work on it for a week and be capable of sparring with people who have been doing it for years.
It takes constant work. Learning, practise and feedback. You need to devote the same amount of time and energy you would in earning a black belt.
Why do we think it's any different with leadership training? It isn't, it's exactly the same.
