Sue Shellenbarger at The Wall Street Journal:
Employers often aim to hire people they think will be a good fit, but their efforts can easily veer into a ditch where new hires all look, think and act alike
When hiring should your recruitment process be taking into account your company culture when selecting candidates? Just look at a few of the team pages you come across on company websites. You'll notice companies tend to grow and recruit the same type of people, whether it's young people in their 20s, middle aged women or white men. It's a very human problem.
However there needs to be some sort of cultural fit taken into account otherwise it's total chaos. As with many things it's not so simple, a careful balance has to be made.
